Chaplaincy
School Chaplain: Reverend Gill Hoy
What is a Chaplain?
A chaplain is a person who cares for their organisation, both pastorally and spiritually. As a chaplain Rev. Gill Hoy will support the children, staff and parents in a totally confidential and secure manner. The chaplain is a friend and a witness to God’s love as revealed in Jesus Christ.
Please let Rev Gill know any thoughts or ideas you might have about the religious and spiritual nature of the school. Also if there is a prayer request you would like to make please contact by email schoolchaplain@kirkdale.liverpool.sch.uk
Hello from Reverend Gill Hoy
Happy New Year!
What does a new year look like for you?
Is it a chance to put away those things that have been holding you down? Or is it a chance to do something different?
Maybe it’s a chance to view yourself and your life in a different, brighter way?
As Christians we believe that each day is a new start, a new beginning, a chance to view our lives differently - afresh.
When we accept that God loves us just as we are, when we accept Jesus as our Lord and Saviour, then our lives are renewed, and we start a whole new life – loved, accepted, and forgiven.
As your School Chaplain please be assured of my thoughts and prayers for each one of you and your families.
Our whole school community is upheld in prayer each day and if anyone would like to speak to me about prayer or if you would just like a listening ear then please don’t hesitate to get in touch.
Please let me know if you would like to share a thought, ask for a prayer, or simply have a chat. You can contact me by email: schoolchaplain@kirkdale.liverpool.sch.uk
You may also arrange to speak to me via telephone. I am in school on Mondays, Thursdays and Fridays.
