Mental Health and Well-Being

Supporting Children’s Mental Health

Being mentally healthy during childhood means reaching developmental and emotional milestones and learning healthy social skills and how to cope when there are problems. Mentally healthy children have a positive quality of life and can function well at home, in school, and in their communities.

At Kirkdale St Lawrence we recognise that our children's is mental health is of paramount importance and strive to support good mental health within our school.

Regular activities and events are planned into the school day  to ensure our children recognise the importance of mental health and how they can build the resilience they need to support them.

Pastoral Team

As the Pastoral Team at Kirkdale St Lawrence, we aim to provide support for all of our pupils and their families. We offer a safe place where individuals are valued, listened to and supported to overcome any barriers to learning.

If you would like to speak to someone about any difficulties you may be having, please ask to speak to a member of staff from our Pastoral Team.
